During the 'Haarlemse Lente' and for the occasion of the launch of 'The Holls Collective' The Holls Collective presented:
'RELAX BABY BE COOL'
“It all turned out to be true. There was a black hole, there was no money and there was this big aftermath that you don’t often consider as a starting artist. The Holls is an art collective that consists of nine artists that decided with each other to take control in creating their future.
By organizing our own exhibitions we show that we are here and we take on opportunities to work, experiment and research. It's not only the pitfalls that determine our work. By taking control in our own hands we build a foundation for our own artist-hood and we follow a path of possibilities that we lay down ourselves.”
For the second time contemporary art initiatives organized the event 'Haarlemse Lente' which took place on the 8th 9th and 10th of March, 2013. During this cultural event all Haarlem initiatives were open for a whole weekend, attracting a broad range of audience. The participating museums, art initiatives and galleries presented an evening program with performances, music and dance. The recently founded art initiative 'The Holls Collective' participated in the Haarlemse Lente with a show 'Relax Baby Be Cool'. This took place in 'De Publiekshal' in Haarlem.
